Using the Archives municipales de Lyon
Using this resource isn't for the faint hearted so I will be posting step by step instructions during the next day or so.
I will also create a family tree and link it to a Google map so that you can discover where your roots extend into the soil.

It looks like the correct spelling is Gravillion. on the sample above, not gravillon, as i have it. Is that right? Marilyn
ReplyDeleteThis signature is certainly Gravillion. But in the Dombes and Beaujolais at this time there is usually no 'i'. Noel, who was married to Étiennette Rat, has an elaborate signature with no 'i'.
